ABOUT ME
MY STORY
I moved to Pomona 42 years ago, where my husband, Ron, and I raised our 2 daughters, Erica and Alyssa. My daughters both attended PUSD schools from K-12th grades. Today, they are both practicing Doctors of Optometry, providing quality healthcare to their communities and abroad.
GOALS
There is still much work to be done! In my next term I plan to improve communication and outreach between the district, schools, and community. Although we have completed renovation to many of our campuses, some of our campuses still need modernization. We are working to increase field trips for our students and are working with UCLA to identify academic challenges that our students face. We are currently working to greatly increase our Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten (TK) programs to ensure that our youngest children are prepared to learn and excel. We are working to provide more opportunities in career and technical education. We are building new theaters at our high schools and are continuing to expand our arts and music programs.
